Growing consumer health concerns have created a marketing opportunity for wines with significantly less alcohol. There is strong research evidence that a new category of so-called “Lifestyle Wines” with 8-12% alcohol has great market potential provided the wine is perceived to be of high quality. That’s the hard part — because many wines lose their harmony and balance when 30-40% of their alcohol is removed. ConeTech and its R&D subsidiary, TFC Wines & Spirits, have developed a unique set of winemaking techniques to address this problem, and stand ready to share this knowledge with clients.

“We don’t want to make high alcoholic, unbalanced wine. Any tool that can produce a better wine for the consumer is a good thing. We’ve used the spinning cone on Zinfandel; it’s a marvelous technology.”
